Description

The Sonore opticalRendu Deluxe (Hardware V2.0B) is the latest and greatest version of the opticalRendu music player/streamer. The opticalRendu Deluxe improves on the previous design by offering a new Super Ethernet Chip, improved power regulators and a revamped board design.   The result is nothing less than amazing...

Latest updates:

1. On the hardware side of things we discovered a much better way to implement our clock injection which has given the unit a huge bump in performance compared to any Rendu before it.

2. On the operating system side of things we figured out a way to lower CPU cycles which results in lower processing, which results in lower overall heat production, and which results in lower noise.

3. We improved the way the CPU connects to the main I/O board which increases reliability.

4. We made some improvements to Sonic Orbiter OS v2.9 which helps us help you during support.

5. We made some improvements to Sonic Orbiter OS v2.9 which helps with DACs that were not playing nice with out gear.

The Sonore opticalRendu is a Roon Ready network player and network streamer that turns your USB DAC into a network DAC, delivering a clean and highly-revealing sound.

With its capability for audiophile-grade fiber Ethernet network streaming, the opticalRendu allows you to play directly to your DAC from a computer or a music server, such as the sonicTransporter i9. No keyboard or monitor is necessary for this product, which has easily-controlled playback via an iPad, tablet or computer.

The opticalRendu utilizes fiber optic Ethernet interface to eliminate all noise from your Ethernet network and supports a number of different playback modes, including Roon, DLNA, Squeezebox and HQPlayer (NAA).

Features

  • The opticalRendu uses small, ultra-low noise regulators for each component and two fixed-frequency, low-jitter FEMTO oscillators to push the cleanest signal to your DAC.
  • A newly-redesigned USB circuit removes all redundant components.
  • Built with an updated clock buffer with significantly lower phase noise compared to other products.
  • Built in ultra low latency Broadcom Ethernet chip
  • Lower impedance and better voltage regulation on the USB sub-system.
  • Supports the following Native Sampling Rates: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, 192kHz, 352.8kHz, 384kHz, 705.6kHz, and 768kHz.
  • Supports the following DSD Formats: DSD64, DSD128, DSD256 and DSD512.
  • Will support numerous file formats, including FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3, AAC, OGG, WMA, WMA-L, DSF, DFF.
  • No keyboard or monitor is needed for this plug-and-play streamer, which can be easily accessed with a web browser from your phone or tablet.
  • Works with a number of different network protocols including Roon RAAT, DLNA (TIDAL and Qobuz), Squeezebox, and HQPlayer (NAA).
  • TIDAL and Qobuz work through Roon or controlled directly from an app in DLNA mode.
  • Complete isolation from Ethernet network noise - SFP cage/SFP opticalModule for network connection (OM1 SFP Transceiver included)
  • A micro SD port for the operating system and a multicore processor.
  • Has an external power input jack (6-9 VDC). We recommend adding a Small Green Computer linear power supply at checkout.
  • Dimensions without rubber feet: 1.18” (H) x 4.33” (W) x 4.41” (D).

Notes

  • The opticalRendu has a fiber optic Ethernet port. If your Ethernet switch does not have a fiber port, add the TrendNet 4-port Switch with SFP Bundle. This will convert optical Ethernet to standard Ethernet and connect to a standard port on a router or switch.
  • Although many different types of fiber and SFP transceivers will work we recommend Gigabit SFP modules that work with OM1 (62.5/125 µm multi-mode) type multi-mode fiber with LC connectors for all systemOptique certified products. This will allow your systemOptique product to work at its highest level of performance.
  • Not all USB devices or output modes support the maximum sample rate of the unit.
